Library Services

Circulation

All students, staff and faculty of the New Hampshire Community Technical College system may borrow library materials by presenting a valid college ID. Registration is also open to community residents. Some reciprocal borrowing privileges are available to students of other New Hampshire academic institutions.

Books circulate for four weeks and videos, DVDS and audio materials for one week. These items can be renewed if no one else is waiting for them. Back issues of magazines and journals may be signed out for three days. Current issues may be signed out overnight. Reference materials do not circulate so they are always available for use.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan provides access to resources not available at the Puksta Library. Books and other materials can be borrowed from libraries in New Hampshire and throughout the United States. This service can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, so please plan accordingly. Interlibrary loan is not designed for last minute research. For more information, see our complete interlibrary loan policy. You can email requests to library staff or submit requests using the forms below.

Reference help and library instruction

Library instruction is available to individuals or groups. Group sessions can be general introductions to the library or in depth instruction in the use of particular resources. Faculty may schedule these sessions at anytime. Please schedule the sessions at least one week in advance to allow library staff adequate preparation time.

Library staff are available during all hours of operation to assist you with your questions. Drop in anytime or set up an appointment for more in depth assistance. You can also call or email questions to library staff anytime.

Audio-Visual Equipment

The library has a variety of audiovisual equipment that can be borrowed for use on campus. This includes a video camera, DVD player, VCR, slide projector, stereo system, laptop computer and portable LCD projector. Please see library staff to sign out/reserve any of these items. Library staff can provide basic instruction in the use of the A/V equipment, but students and faculty are expected to operate the equipment independently.
